DISTURBING NEW TREND

I designed this logo for Disturbing New Trend, a progressive preppy, punk rock, hip hop band out of Brooklyn, NY.
I really dig there avaunt guard sound and they wanted a graphic icon that reflects there cutting edge aesthetic. i think the image invokes that exact vibe, how yall like it. I also had a chance to catch one of there jam sessions while they are in between recording their first EP at the Blakeslee Recording Co.

FLASH BACK

I got my start as a graphic designer working in the skate industry. Some of the best days was when I worked for World Industries. Digging around in the storage at my Mom's crib, I found a box of skate decks I designed back in those days, circa 99-00. Not only did i work for World, i also got down with City Stars and Blind.

UP JUMPS THA BOOGIE

Recently Ive been rolling with the Blakeslee camp, ive met one of the most creative groups to come around. Getting the official head nod from Ray Ray Saadiq, Tha Boogie is latest high energy on his Velma Records Lable.

I had the pleasure of banging out there identity package. This font treatment was built from basic shapes and curves in illustrator. The speaker head kid is just anther sweet find streamlined, but it all works so well.

ARTIST IN RESIDENCE PT.2

Here is a complete pic of the 10 foot x 70 foot something wall installation. This giant collage is titled,"The Bi Product of Our Inspiration." Photo compiled by Ryan "The RAT" Anzures. The Blakeslee Recording Co. will never be the same again, after the SMBLC art collective wrecked the spot. We are currently planning a full gallery show and party at the Blakeslee in NOHO,CA. for mid summer.
