I was asked by Photog Mel D. Cole about 3 years ago now, to redesign his branding logo. Mel is a client that knows what he wants to see for his self and has a clear vision on how to use his branding. So it was very easy and fun to work with him. Part of the Village Slum rebranding campaign included character development. With the creation of a secondary branding character named "Oh Snap!". That made his sneak debut on the VS x Etnies tee designed by my partner in crime Ronj of LeRoy Jenkins.
Im very pleased with the out come and the usage of the branding package I created for Mel,and I know he is as well.
As Mel's brand is vastly growing world wide. More opportunities to expand the brand have been turning up. Once again is was called on to flex my versatile skills on a sneaker design. For a branding colab with Village Slum and Etnies. Here are a few shots of final product. Autographed by Mel fresh out the boxes.
Kicks come in 2 color ways. As far as i know Mel is the only Photographer with a custom sneaker. Wow,good ish!
